A Story… Rebels obsessed with tribal hatred, cut off lips, ears, and even the breasts of those in their path. Elizabeth, a young child, was in their path as her village was ransacked. Her ear was sliced with a machete. Much worse happened to her village mates. This fearful brutality ensured silence and obedience as the army occupied their homes.
Anger grew in Elizabeth’s life. Bitterness produced headaches. Growing hatred affected her stomach. She was a miserable young adult. Moving away from home, Elizabeth met a Christian who told her the story of Christ. They described how Christ was God’s Son who never sinned. Though He was innocent, He was killed on the cross by angry people. Yet He forgave them. That story worked in her life.
Elizabeth was an innocent child, horribly wronged. Yet she was not without sin. God convinced her that any sin is great offense to His holiness. She was no less a sinner than the rebel with the machete. Arrogance was broken as she said, “I am the worst of sinners.” She forgave the rebel. Bitterness and rage drained away. Today her life overflows with joy, peace, hope, and fruitfulness. Her mangled ear testifies to the power and freedom of forgiveness. Story from: Catch Your Breath

Work on it: Speak it often, “I am the worst of sinners.” What offense do I hold against another? Spirit, convict me! Unforgiveness is a big deal. It stops revival. Arrogant self-absorption prevents revival. Work through, "Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors".
Note: Pray with another to effectively work on bitterness, anger, grudges, etc.
