A Story…  One can of green beans—Big Deal!  The church was abuzz as the 12-week Tuesday overnight prayer seminars neared. Registration was amazing. I was the leader. But God began to nag me about a past event. Three years ago, I took an elderly unstable Aunt shopping.  She purchased a poinsettia.  Unloading her buggy, a lone can of green beans sat hidden behind the plant, unknown to us and the cashier. I didn’t want to get her out of the car again, nor could I leave her alone in the car.  I drove away. Forgotten until three years later back in Uganda!

Those green beans lodged in my head. It wouldn’t let up!  First, I rebuked Satan for trying to disrupt the seminar plans.  Then I made excuses: too long ago, don’t know address of the store, the newspaper headline “Missionary stole beans” will embarrass my parents, etc. The day before the first class, I drove twenty minutes to church for final preparations.  Those beans hounded me!  Enough already!  “Lord, I will drive into this roundabout and I will not exit until this is settled.  What must I do?” After a few laps, I returned home.  Wrote a check.  Took it to the Post Office, addressed to Food Lion, Christiansburg, VA.  Settled!  What a release.

Those twelve-week sessions were marvelous and repeated many times.  Along the way, a church-wide overnight prayer hosted 399 people with several giving their lives to Christ.   So what about those beans?  What if I had not mailed the check?  What if I had kept that LITTLE sin hidden?     Story from:  Catch Your Breath

----------------------------

Work on it.  Ask the Lord for conviction of sin.  Listen.  Write what you hear.  Plan confession, restitution, and reconciliation.  Note: Prayer partners can help put steel in your backbone to get this done.  God will fill your sails.

----------------------------

Xtras!  Ask a mature Christ-follower to help you do this well.  When it is done, testify to someone as to how God worked.  The effort of testifying face-to-face anchors and multiplies this work of God.  Sets your sails for revival.
